Day eight of the house load in..and still hanging in there
well, the book cases took three coats of paint and one primer coat. I am thinking I didn't wait long enough in between coats because they felt soft yesterday still. I am waiting for them to harden off. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. I have shifted my focus to the house from the studio. Yesterday and today, it was to the garage to find all the office parts. The goal for the week is to get the office dialed in. This could be tough because we had an eight foot closet in the office of the other house. This morning I spend five hours, going through garage boxes, trying to find office stuff. It has been clear, that just because a box is labeled doesn't mean it actually has those items in the box. Yesterday I had one box labeled garage, clothes which was actually china. Today I unpacked a box in the garage that was office, with very little packing material, everything thrown in a heap. I don't get it. Anyway, it all seemed to be ok. I emptied out all the boxes and put them on the old book shelves that are now in the third stall of the garage, waiting for their new home, the pretty ones..in the office on the soon to be out together book shelves I bought last week. Anyway, it gets to looking good, and then not so much when we go through more boxes..so today, I decided just to rake through the rest, consolidate and condense... Ad voila! I can now park my car in the garage! Yippee. After some rest I hope to see if I can find all the cables to hook up printers, scanners and what ever else goes to my office set up.....my ultimate goal? Don't take longer than two weeks to get things put away enough to not be chaotic, and get two cars in the garage. What do you think? Can I do it? Read More
