"Sax in the Vineyards"
call for pricing 14x20 watercolor on 140lb fabriano
This watercolor painting came into being because I was asked to submit 5 paintings to the Temecula Valley Arts Council for the "Arts in the Country Festival" 2003. It is a great honor to be asked to submit art for this event. The completion was stiff, and although this painting was not selected for the event, "Vineyard Melodies" was. The goal for this painting was to depict Temecula in it's essence and represent the arts and music. The vineyards often times have Jazz festivals, so I thought, where is Grandpas old silver sax? Off I went with musical instruments in tow to the vineyards to sketch and take photos. I was pleased with the results and especially pleased that the arts council was as well.  |
