Temecula Community Services to offer Art Classes Through Junemecula community Services will be offering a variety of art classes with Instructor Gabriele Baber starting with a one day workshop"Watercolor Techniques" from 9-2 p.m. covering as many techniques as time will allow. The classes will be offered March 19th and June 25th

This class will give the student the foundation for the ongoing "Watercolor Class" that meets on Thrusdays beginning on February 23rd The class will meet from 9:00-11:45 for 5 wks/$84 Also offered are Oil/Acrylic Painting on Wednesdays 9-11:45 sessions beginning Feb 23rd.

Temecula Artist Gabriele Baber won Best of Show at the Temecula Valley Art League’s spring showing at the Musicians Workshop on Mercedes Ave in Old Town Temecula. Baber’s painting, “Lavender Fields,” is an acrylic painting done with pallet knife and brush work on canvas depicting local lavender fields near Rainbow. “The painting was inspired from a photo I took at the Lavender Festival last year,” Baber said. “Of course, I used plenty of artistic license. This work was one that flowed onto the canvas easily and quickly. The early part of the painting and drawing was done with pallet knife only and thick acrylic paint. After all the shapes and values were blocked in, the finishing touches came with a one-inch brush. My students will especially appreciate this painting, since I always say that no painting is done until the purple comes in.
